    Hi guys

Anyone know of a way to generate Thumbnails of a directory tree structure without having to click every single directory and wait for them to be created?

Of would this be expecting too much of Windows?

    Regards

Since these files are created "on the fly" and will be created when you select thumbnail view and be removed when you select any other view, not sure how (or why) it could be done.

    Hi

They are in fact created as required by thumbnail view and saved in Thumbs.db - kept here even if you switch back to Tiled/etc view. Nice that you can save them along with images to CD's and they're re-read on load. There are some errors in Microsoft's implenentation:

    1. When you delete images, the database file is not updated (daft)
    2. When you encrypt the images folder the database file is not (typical of MS's security oversights ...)

These are listed at the MS knowledge database and should be fixed with SP1.

Was hoping to find a compatable program to create them of a whole tree structure like with Polyview and save all the databases.

    Sincerely
