    Hi,
Several of my friends are running in NTFS format, it seems like their computer is more stable than mine (FAT32 format). my computer reboots itself occasionally, they don't seem to have this problem. Any comment is welcome. Thanks.

    Hey there,
NTFS more secure than stable. The stability that your talking about has to do with the fact that NT based OS work best under the NTFS partition, rather than a FAT32. I'm not quite sure what it is with the NTFS partition that makes it more secure or what not, other than the fact that NTFS partitions can't be accessed nor seen by an OS under a FAT or FAT 32 partition.

    yes and no imho

Alot of it does have to with the OS. Nt based systems are very stable, depending on the hardware... The more "flighty" the hardware the less stable the system no matter what OS.

Journaling is nice for the fact that the OS will know what you were working on if you crash.

Archang3l - you have lots of security options at the file/folder/drive levels with NTFS that do not exist in FAT32. You can really fine tune it to suit your needs. With FAT32, it is pretty much a matter of "Do you want some security? Answer Yes or No ".
