First time posting on this site--please excuse errors.
When I click on Sytem Information--via Syt Tools-- instead of the regular info screen, I get Help & Support Center. Have no idea how long this has been going on, as I almost never go there. Has anyone else encountered this?? Any suggestions on repair greatly appreciated.

I suppose it's possible the target application got changed somehow in your System Information. You can check this by right-clicking on "System Information" then selecting "Properties ".

On XP Home SR 2, this is the link I get in "Target ":
    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe "

Thanks for fast replies, Joue Barocio & JRosenfeld.
My target is the same as yours, so I guess thats not the problem. Looked in Kelly's Korner, but could see nothing which applied.
    Thanks again

    Hello mwbickle,

The alternative is running msinfo32.exe from the run box. Does that work?

    Regards - Charles

Try going to Start>Run> then type msinfo32.exe
Your PC should open the System Information screen.

    BTW, welcome to WindowsBBS!

I've tried accessing through the Run box, but again, the H & S screen comes up.

    Wow Charles,

That's totally amazing to see I'm not the only one with this problem!! I think it boils down to a missing data file, but I'm going to go through all the info, & see what I can do-- wish me luck.

    Thanks again

Right-click the Start Menu selection for System Information > Properties > and copy/paste or type the following script into the Target window:

    Code:
     "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe" /categories +all
It must be EXACTLY as shown in order to work.
