Having problems with wireless network connections dropping after 5-10 minutes, then mysteriously reconnecting themselves after a few seconds. The odd thing is that it only seems to affect one laptop; wireless connection to a PC much further away has no such problem. The laptop also has the problem on wireless networks in two different homes while the desktops don't.

I'm running Windows XP Pro on a ThinkPad, and a NetGear wireless router on a cable modem. I've installed Levono's ThinkVantage Access Connections to help me shift between multiple network environments (I regularly move between 2 offices and 2 homes.) I'm wondering whether this might be continually trying to detect and reset the network connections.

    Any suggestions?

You don't say which model Thinkpad you're using, and I don't know if it matters anyway. I mention this only because I've never been able to get Access Connections to work on my T43, yet it works perfectly on a T40 with the identical software configuration.

Actually, I like the Windows (XP) setup better than the Access Connections setup, and my T43 transfers from one network to another automatically and smoothly, even using a static IP. You might try uninstalling Access Connections and letting Windows handle your connections.
