hi to members of the forum.

my question : when ever my system starts after abnormal shutdown it shows disk checking has been cancelled . now how do i reconfigure my system to do a normal disk checking after abnormal shutdowns.

even when i try to do chkdsk /f it says cannot lock current drive n gives the option to do the checking after reboot, even after giving yes to this option
system does't check the disk on rebooting.

what i have tried so far : i tried to change the registry entry to rectify this problem ,

    (MyComputer\HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Maneger)

    >>Boot Execute >> Reg_Multi_Sz >> changed this entry to
    (autocheck autochk /f *)

    even tried automated system recovery.

    the problem is still there.

    my system : os-win xp pro sp1. fat32 partitions

any help would be much appriciated.
    thanks in advance .
    regards. :)
