    Hi,

My friend has download some aplications, that I say, that they are maybe not ½original½.
So we need to know real names for this programs WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THEM.

    Example:

    -CloneCD - SetupCloneCD.exe

    Here are the programs:

    -ACDSee PowerPack Suite 4.0
    -SiSoftware Sandra Professional 2002
    -Go!Zilla Plus 4.11
    -Microangelo 5.54
    -SmartDraw Professional Plus 6.03

    Thank You people!!!

Just do a Google search for each of the programs. When you get to the download site, tell it to download and get the original name of the download/install file from the "save as" window. You don't, of course, have to actually download the file since all you want in the name.

Did you try the Google search that Miz suggested?

I tried it on a couple and found the information I think you are looking for.

Why can't you use the Google search as Newt and Miz suggested? It would seem more expedient than waiting for someone to do your leg work for you.

It's likely that both the cracked and original versions will have the same name.

If (s)he downloaded these programs from www.cnet.com, you can assume that they are the originals; OTOH, if (s)he downloaded from www.cracked-programs-and-warez.com, you can safely assume that they are not originals. Similarly, if the programs do not display the usual nag/reminder screens and do not prompt for registration, you can also safely assume that they are not originals.

Secondly, WE DON´T USE OR DOWNLOAD OR VISIT ANYTHING THAT MAY BE CRACK!!!

-Z--K- --I guess I do not understand your question. Each of the programs you have named are well-known programs. So what more do you need to know about them?
If you want see the exact file name (with extension) of the downloaded program, right click on the downloaded file's icon and then click Properties. But actually that is what should already show right under the downloaded file's icon. Downloaded files hardly ever have the full name of the program like "ACDSee PowerPack Suite 4.0 ". Rather the file will be labeled something like acdsee.exe.
Like I say, what is it you want to know about these programs?

This being the case, post the original site that the programs were downloaded from, so everyone can take a look, and hopefully this will provide a satisfactory answer for you. ;)

Let's go back to the original post:
I, like others here, can't understand why you want the names of the legitimate application installation files...

I could say more about the source of your files, but lets leave it at this... All but one of your named programs are currently listed for download on a certain Russian Web Site at this moment...

Or so I've been told ;)

To be very blunt, this has the unmistakable aroma of crackware. Any LEGITIMATELY obtained software does NOT need those names. If the "friend" needs such information, he should visit the "warez" sites for it (and keep his AV proggy running when he does). And, the contentious attitude of the poster does NOT give me a warm'n'fuzzy feeling.

I'd strongly recommend that this thread be locked down.
