I have a network and want to share files on my computer but want to restrict them with a password. I am running XP and cannot find anywhere where to put a password. Am I overlooking something?

since xp is multiuser, u can just employ normal security to make a file/folder available (or not available) to any user or group. xp pro is MUCH better at this in that u can turn off 'simple file sharing' and then set user/group/everyone attributes to anything more or less.

so if user joe w/ password xxx is listed as the only user w/ read (or more) access to folder Y, then no one else cept admin group members can see folder Y.
