I know it's going to eventually crash, again. It's done it once b4 over the reverse situation. I uninstalled the new graphx card but didn't disconnect it. Now, I have it installed and working correctly (geforce 5200 pci) and the onboard Intel keeps trying to reinstall every time I reboot. I have to cancel it. I have uninstalled it from Device Manager already. Do I need to do something else to keep the hardware wizard from popping up every time?

Are you saying that you also have onboard video and it wants to install every time you boot? If so, disable it in your bios and that should take care of it.

Well, to be honest I've never had a board with onboard video and those I've worked on I've never had to disable it so I don't really know where it would be. Just look for something that has the name of your Intel graphics chip. If you find it and it says enabled, set it to disabled.

Or, if you find it and aren't sure, post back with what it says and perhaps somebody here can tell you if that's what you want or not.

Another thing you can try would be to search Google for it. Maybe just use the words disable Intelxxxx (x's represent the rest of the name of the chip). Where it is in the bios would be dependent on the type of bios you have. What kind of bios do you have? Perhaps somebody else here will be able to tell you.

The User Guide/manual for the Dell should have all the BIOS settings listed (download it from Dell if you do not have it).

Another thing you could try would be to see if the on board video shows up in Device Manager. If it does, try disabling it there.

This is a card that I added myself.
Yes I've disabled it in Device Manager already.
I'm worried be cause last time, I didn't have a big enough power source and the card crapped out after a while, so I just uninstalled it and went back to the onboard. But I didn't disconnect the card and it eventuallwent black on me, not blue, black, no display. We(Dell & I) went round & round till we finally figured out that the card was still causing problems. Do you guys think it's gonna do the same thing?
