    Hi there

Ihave got a PC that is riddled with malware and virus's. I have tried everything known to man to get rid of these. Comp wouldnt let me install anything I.E antivirus(one already installed wouldnt work). It also wouldnt let me install spybot, adaware etc. So I thought sod you and tried a repair but it kept restarting half way through and then i thought sod you again and reformated it.
    Problem solved...........so I thought but....
It goes throught the windows intallation until it gets to the partition selection. As soon as I hit enter on C: partation it restarts, this happens every time. Sometimes it gets a little bit further into installion sometimes not.

    Does anyone have any Ideas

    Cheers

Have you removed all external equipment, e.g. printer, scanner, other USB devices?

u should not have partitions at all IF this is a clean install. eg - use the blue partition screen to DELete them ;) then create new ones.

above subject to u'r system's installer routines. eg - if this system restores from hidden partition vs installs from FULL install media, do this carefully ;) ... read u'r system docs is the bottom line here. given u've got FULL win install media, u don't need restore partitions.

as a side, the restores often put '****' on the system which i would opt to NOT have but ... it's ur call here.

    2 Partitions

    Hi guys

the computer has 2 partitions, The data partition (D:) has not been touched. I just formated the partition with windows on (C:) and wanted to do full install on C:. Will D: have something to do with the comp restarting.

    Cheers
