Hi...Hopefully someone can help me with this problem. I put this website shortcut on my desktop (AIG Ins.) and it made another one on the desktop. I can delete one easily but the other one I can't delete. I keep getting the message: "Cannot delete file:Cannot read from the source file or disk ". If I go to open it I get the message: "Unable to access jarfile C:\Documents and Settings\Ron.RONALDMARIANNE1\Desktop\AIG Ins.......Thanks in advance!

guess = open the actual desktop folder in explorer at C:\Documents and Settings\Ron.RONALDMARIANNE1\Desktop and see if the file in question is there. if so, kill it.

u could also try to logon as ADMINISTRATOR and kill it from there w/ the same method.

maybe check u'r explorer's tools/view managing pairs of web pages & folders options. defaul is manage as single pair.

Right click on the desktop and choose refresh and see if it's gone. The only time I've got that error message (Cannot delete file:Cannot read from the source file or disk) is when I have deleted a file and for some reason the desktop or folder it's in doesn't get refreshed. It then appears like the file's still there. Trying to delete it again will get you that error message.

Also, you if you haven't done so, you might try rebooting. Perhaps it will be gone then.

Try to delete the file. You did too!
