   Is there a way to clear the names of previously searched for web sites that would be in the address box in google?

   If you are searching through the Google toolbar just use the dropdown menu from the Google button at the left end of the bar and select 'Clear Search History'
   
   If you use the main Google search page, which I do not, see this Google search ....
