Hi, welcome to the board! :)

No, you won't lose your music but you might have to associate it with another player which isn't a big problem. Usually you can associate them from the options of the player you want to use. In Media Player for instance, you click on tools>options>file types and then put a check mark in the box by each of the file types you want it to play. Those that you put a check mark by will then have the Media Player icon.

Another way to do it is to right click on one the files in windows explorer (mp3 for example) and then select open with. Then select the program you want to use to play them and put a check mark in the box by the line that says always use the selected file type to open this type of file.

    removed successfully

removed musicmatch jukebox first...all music files contained the windows media player icon....then later removed the musicmatch jukebox for windows media player.... no apparrent problems with the removal of the jukebox...note: i'm on an inspiron 6000 (dell) and using windows media player 10 ...it's a treat not to have 3 windows opening up on musicmatch jukebox wanting to upgrade and spend more money...!! thanks!!

    You're welcome. :)

I know what you mean about the upgrade windows. My daughter has a Dell and it drove me nuts when I'd work on it and have that darn thing always bugging you to upgrade. She didn't like it either so I did just what you did. Got rid of it for her. They really do you a favor when they bundle that thing with the setup. It wouldn't be so bad but then they go and make it the default player too when they could just as easily set it up so Media Player is the default so you wouldn't get nagged to death unless you set up MM yourself to be the default.
