hello.. I'm trying to reformat a Toshiba sat.3000 laptop using their 3 recovery cd's without luck. It was loaded with win xp. I put in the first cd ,it starts up okay and goes to the first screen. I choose to reformat and the next screen says it now will restart and to leave the cd in.

System restarts ok, but the cd does NOT continue to reformat, instead the cd spins to a stop. I checked the cd drive "F" and now it say that the "F" drive is not accessible, and that the "disk structure is corrupted and unreadable. "

    What can I do NOW.

Thanks to all who can help me. mrz79

    what is boot order?

i'd start by reading tosh's site about that model and recovery etc. MANY vendor's sys_restore discs don't work ;) u may need to get a new set.

anywho ... u should read their advice on restore particularly if the actual files live on the HD as u can purge them doing this manually and prevent a restore entirely.
