Can anyone explain to me how to create a Power scheme entry.
I deleted (dumb) all my Power schemes and now unable to monitor_power settings and save energy.

Open 'Power Options' in the Control Panel, set the option you want, then click the 'SaveAs' button. When the the textbox opens, type the name you want for the power scheme. HTH

    Power Option "Settings" grayed out.

I had the problem where the Power Option "Settings" were grayed out so could not get the textbox opened.

I followed RASelkirk's 11.09.03 thread "In your registry, look under" HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies and sure enough the first set of key entries were out of order, made a few modifications and I'm back in business.

Thanks Mr B and RASelkirk, I appreciate your help.
