    Hi All,
i recently loaded win98se on an older machine and loaded my wg111v2 wireless adapter. the adapter looks to work fine, but i cannot connect to the internet. it works fine in win2000, but that OS was too slow. any ideas?

    thanks

I had the same problem and found out that Windows 98se does not handle the wireless adapter like later operating systems do. If I plugged the adapter into the computer after it was up and running the adapter utility program showed that it was connected. However I could not connect to the internet or to the router vie a web page. Releasing & renewing the IP did not help. I found that you must first connect the adapter to computer, than turn the computer on. You than should be able to connect to the router/web as long as all your other i are dotted.
