Reg Clean v4.1a

Hi,

I have tried running Reg Clean 4.1a a couple of times now but it seems to hang up near the end of "Scanning Type Library Identifiers for Errors ".

My computer is making noises like it does when being scanned but nothing further happens in the Progress Chart in the Reg Clean dialog box.

I am running Windows XP Pro, SP2.
I previously ran Reg Clean on a Windows XP Home, SP2 computer without this problem.

Any suggestions?

Are you referring the Microsoft's Regclean (Christmas box looking icon)? That old but very useful utility was not designed for the NT (XP's) registry. It's purpose was for the Win 95 registry, and works fine for 98. I would not recommend it for WinME, as it's registry is too different.
