Crackling and static coming out of speakers after installing new sound card

    I just installed a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS SB0350 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card. I put it in the PSI slot, plugged the speakers into the slot, fired up some music, and simply got a bunch of static and cracking sounds. I installed all of the drivers from the CD, and I previously used on-board sound.
