DVD-R or DVD+R

    What's the difference between these 2 media. Is one better than the other? If so why?

    dmk1941--While the following has nowhere near the info in the excellent reference provided by Mr. B, perhaps it is a little less confusing

    What it all boils down to is that these are two competing formats--a little like Beta and VHS were 25 years ago. The good news, however, that most new players and recorders will adapt to both. But you better be sure when you buy one.
    And I do not think either format has any special advantage over the other.
