Need a utility program

    I'm hunting for a program that will list all of the software installed on the computer. This would be a listing of the programs displayed by Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. The intent is to catalog the software we're using and to be able to confront users who do install their own stuff.

    Suggestions?

    add remove pro? - u'r basic install tracker. or maybe a google on 'software inventory'

    i'd maybe think about setting up security on the pcs so that no user is 'admin' level. then they can't install stuff w/o some help ;)

    Belarc is not licensed for commercial use. Might want to look at Everest. Depends upon your needs.

    You could get the demo from ENT it will allow you to audit the machine over the network.

    I use 'List Installed Programs' - a VB script by Bill James MVP. Output is to a tab delimited text file which can be imported to newer versions of Excel and converted to a spreadsheet.
