I am trying to follow Registry editing instructions from my anti virus program to remove adware infections. The instructions are to delete Gator.com from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE. However, in the software subkey all I see are the folders for the programs installed on my computer. Is there a way to make the execution files visible in the SOFTWARE subkey?

    Editing registry

Try clicking edit, find, and enter gator.com in the find window. after deleting the first entry press f3 to see if there are any more instances of it in the registry and delete them also.
