    hey everyone,
A friend of mine has a usb only printer. His usb ports on his computer do not work. He's a Tech as well. We tried every update, this, that and a few other things to get them to work. There toast!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a converter to connect a usb slot to the parallel or serial port.
I don't think there is because of the power situation with the USB, but figured i'd ask.

    Thanks,

Better yet - why not just buy a USB 2.0 PCI card for $9, install that in a PCI slot, and then attach the printer to that. You said computer so I'm assuming you don't mean laptop.
