Windows Media Player won't install

    I also typed winnt in the search box and nothing came up....am I typing incorrectly or incompletely????:

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding that statement but.... it's not a folder named sysoc.inf you're looking for. It's a file. The file should be in your windows\inf folder. Open windows explorer and browse to that folder. Then click the view menu and choose arrange icons by>name so they're sorted alphabetically. Then look for a file named sysoc.inf.

    I'm not quite sure what's happening here but the file has to be there. Without it, the windows setup in add>remove programs would be empty at best and possibly not even open at worst.
