Windows Explorer 'Encounters a Fault'...

    :mad: I don't know what i did... but every time I try to access MY COMPUTER or hard drive disk :c, or other computer related files, I get 'Windows Explorer has encountered a fault... must close' message... where do I go from here?? .... Tx

    Tx for the advice.... after using 'shelxview' & disabling ~6 items, I haven't had a problem.... I'll now start individually enabling & testing to find the culprit(s).... Tx again:)

    :confused: I enabled each shell item individually, & have no problem after ALL were enabled?!? I'll quit while I'm ahead, but don't understand it.... Tx

    Well, if you enabled each individually, did you try with all enabled at the same time?

    It could be that there are some that aren't playing nice together.

    If you did already try them with all enabled, blame it on cosmic rays :rolleyes:

    When I enabled each, I left it enabled..... cosmic rays it is.... tx again
