In my dreams I would like to set up a dual boot with XP and RedHat Linux. Given my complete lack of expertise in such matters, I would certainly have to use Partition Magic.

My question is whether I can set this up at all given the fact that I do not have a full version of XP, but only a "recovery disk ". This disk is strange, the files are more or less hidden, and the only option is to do a reformat and install of xp.

Using Partition Magic, do you think it would be possible to set up Linux, and then use the recovery disc to install xp? I have asked this question of PowerQuest, but have not yet heard back. Thanks.

    Hi Jodi
    Welcome to the boards!
It would appear that it is possible. Though this was for a laptop....your situation sounds similar?
