    Hi Guys,

I got myself into another little snag. I guess I should stop playing with things I don’t know anything about.
    Here it goes:
After I boot my computer I get an error:

    Error loading cmicnfg.cpl
The specified module could not be found.

In the upper left corner it says RUNDLL
The only thing I can do is click on OK and the error disappears.

Any idea what I did and how I can undo this?

    Thanks
    Sven

    Hi all,
I restored the file from a back up and the error is gone.
Still don’t know what and how I did that, but it’s working fine.

    Welshjim,

Yes I did remove C- Media sound driver because I did not need it.
I forget why I installed it in the first place.
Do I still need the cmicnfg.cpl for something else?

It is back where it was and the error is gone.

    Thanks
    Sven

    Welshjim,

    Thanks for your note.

As I stated before, I put the file back from a Backup and I do not get that error anymore.

I don't think it will do any harm, will it?

    Thanks again
    Sven
