A program called Lsass.exe keeps running on my machine. Its located in the C:\windows\fonts folder, so I dont think that it is the windows logging script. HOwever, when I go to the folder or run a search it is no where to be found.

I have tried booting up in safe mode to look for it, but the program is still not there and running. The icon it gives is a man with a green truban holding two flaming batons. here is a screenshot.

An executable program typically will not show up in the Fonts folder, as that is a special windows folder. It is a "there is only to be fonts in here so nothing else will be visible" sort of thing.
To get rid of it, first Disable System Restore, else it will back, and I seriously doubt you do.
Then use the Killbox on it. Just enter in the path "C:\windows\fonts\Lsass.exe, be sure to use the 'delete on reboot' option, then click on the red circle with the white X on it.
The very appearance of malware warrants full virus/spy-adware scans.
