Installed new 1GB RAM. Not sure if it is related, but cannot cut and paste or drag and drop in TB. Works fine in Word. Seems only in TB.

    redrocket,

Before installing the RAM, were you able to drag/drop, cut/paste in Thunderbird? Are you trying to drag/drop or cut/paste from one folder to another, and moving multiple messages?

When you try to do this edit, have you tried the same edit more than once? There are bugs on this, which the user says that Drag and Drop of messages work only when attempting twice.

A little more information would be most helpful.

    Thanks!

REPLIES ARE IN FULL CAPS [NO, I AM NOT TRYING TO SHOUT, SORRY :)]

    I AM NOT SURE; I CAN'T RECALL.

THIS OCCURS WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF TYPING NEW MAIL MESSAGES OR REPLY TO MAIL MESSAGES SCREENS.

    YES, IT IS REPEATABLE.

NOPE, NOT ON THIS MACHINE, NOR CTRL>X AND CTRL>V - THE TEXT APPEARS TO DISAPPEAR WHEN EITHER DRAG AND DROP OR CUT/PASTE IS ATTEMPTED, BUT CTRL>Z RESTORES THE TEXT.

    redrocket,

Are you actually using the "Compose" window to type the message, or are you using another text editor and trying to paste the text into the Thunderbird "Compose" window?

BTW, if you will click on the "Edit" tab in your previous post, you can see how I edited your post to include each quote, and then your reply. Also see:
http://www.windowsbbs.com/misc.php?do=bbcode which explains how to use the vB Codes.
