    Time for a little experimenting.

My BIOS has a USB Boot showing under the Boot menu.
I have a small flash drive, 256 meg that i was thinking of maybe making it
as a backup power-on, boot device for emergencies.

I have an Acronis CD thats has bootable files on it, using only 11 meg total.

So was wondering if i moved the USB Boot in the BIOS to be the first boot
device (keeping the CD as 2nd) and formatting the flash drive to FAT32 then
creating the boot files onto the flash drive, would it work?

I could just ry it but thought it wise to get some expert opinions first.

    thanks,

My error. Guess it wont work.

USB Boot is not listed as a bootable device.
Its listed under Hard Disk Control as enabled but i dont see a way to move it
    up to bootable devices.......

    Ah well, worth a shot.

    thanks,

Looks more complicated than i figured according to that sites forum.

I'll go to my seller and see if there is an updated bios.

    thanks,
