Directions How to use Debugger and Dump files

    Can anyone direct me to some good documention links on how to install & use debugger. Also, if anyone knows of any docmention links on how to analyze dump files with debugger that would be great!

    The first step is to download the debugging tools and correct symbols file for whatever OS you are debugging.

    Debugging tools 32-bit....

    Debugging tools 64-bit....
    http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/install64bit.mspx

    General Symbol info...

    Symbols download...
    http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/symbolpkg.mspx

    The symbols take up a decent amount of space, but its the only way to really get the debugger to work well.

    Thank-you for the link info I will take a look at and see how bad the reading will fry my brain!! That will no doubt be over my head, but I will see if I can make any sense of it all.
