    The zero keys on my keyboard suddenly stopped registering in DOS (i.e., in a DOS window or DOS application programs - my Enable DOS word-processor/spreadsheet and my DOS accounting software). I use Windows 98 operating system. The zero keys work perfectly in any Windows applications. I'm bushed, and would appreciate ANY help or clues. Not even sure if I'm posting this in the right section. THANKS.

    Hi Dawa

    if I read your query correctly, you are getting nothing from either the 0 key on the main keyboard or from the 0 key on the numeric keypad

    some things you might try to gain more information:

    1) restart the computer into MS-DOS mode, try the 0 keys;
    2) reboot, trap the boot with the F8 key, choose option 5 "Command Prompt Only" & try the 0 keys;
    3) start computer using a Start-Up Disk (aka Emergency Boot Disk) & try the 0 keys;

    best wishes, HJ
