    Hi all,
    Long time since I've posted!
I've got a printing issue with a printer (HP laserJet 1000) conected to an XP PC on a (very large) domain. I am unable to see this shared printer on the domain to connect other PC's (W2K) to it unless the XP PC is left logged in with administrator rights.
Work place policy is that PC's are to be left locked down. So I'm trying to comply with that.
My local IT person is stumped.
It must be a permissions issue, but I've messed with various permissions under printers as well as drivers without success. It may be a registry setting, but that's like looking for that needle.
Nothig in the group policy (gpedit.msc) that I can see either.

    Any ideas?

    In case anyone's interested...?
It was a group policy setting that was set to Administrators only. Changing to include the required login, or everyone gave access to the connected/shared printer.
    Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignment/Access this computer from the network
