How to advertise IGP routes into an EGP

Hello all,

can anyone tell me

How would I advertise IGP routes into an EGP: by redistributing routes from IGP to EGP or via static network statements? can you explain this to me.

Someone working towards a Cisco exam by any change?

Cisco site is probably the best bet. I searched for IGP routes into an EGP, and got a list of articles that should contain the answer.

 

All I can think of is make sure that the router you want to transfer IGP to EGP has both protocols.

Router1 IGP <--> Router2 IGP, EGP <--> Router3 EGP

There is probably a command that will pass IGP tables to EGP tables but only on that router.

Atleast thats what I remember from my Cisco.

And more to the point what are your reasons for distributing IGP routes across egp's ?
