Until yesterday, my recent Google searches were accessible through the little drop-down arrow next to the Google search box. Now, for some reason, it's empty. Does anyone have any idea why that would be? I haven't made any changes that I "m aware of.

I want to clarify what you are seeing or not. Next to the URL bar, there is a smaller search bar. There is small arrow to the left, which allows you to select other Search Engines, or to add new ones. I believe that Google is default, and you should see a light blue letter G.
I am set up to erase all tracks, so I am not seeing anything, after I remove the existing search. I remember a time when there was a dropdown arrow at the right of box, including the searches. If I select on the Menu toolbar Go|I will see a list of visited sites, and it will have Google Search next to the name which I had entered. But, as soon as I exit, everything will be wiped out. My settins in Tools|Options|Privacy|History will not keep anything

Westside, thank you for responding, but I solved the problem. It seems I had configured my preferences to not save history. Again, thanx for being willing to help.

That is, exactly, what I do, on purpose.
