Unread Posts

Can I get rid of the total of unread posts without having to read them all? It shows over 8200 and was just wondering if I can get it down to nothing? I don't come here that often any more, but that # is HUGE!!! Thanks.

 

on the index page, go down and click "Mark Forums Read "

 

Sure you can. At the top of any page here you'll see a bunch of links (scroll to the top of this page and look). Top left is User CP and to the far right is Log Out. Just to the left of Log Out is one named Quick Links. Click on it and a menu will cascade from it. In the menu, select "Mark Forums Read ". This will mark all forums read and you'll be rid of the unread posts.

Also, if you just want to mark one forum as read, while viewing any forum, just above the list of threads in the forum, on the far right you'll see a link that says "Forum Tools ". If you click on it, you'll see a link that says mark forum read. If you click on that link, the forum you're currently viewing will be marked as read but the rest of the forums won't be. Check it out. You'll see what I mean. Post back if you have any questions.
