CD Drive

    I'm trying to install a wireless LAN adapter on my laptop, but when I pop the installation CD in it doesn't show up on MY Computer, and neither does the CD drive!

    I have absolutely no idea what the problem could be as I have had a mac for the last 6 years and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    this kinda sounds like a dumb question but, does the cd drive show up when you dont have the cd in?

    check the bios and see if its detected. if not, then check to see if it is plugged in inside the computer
