Windowsbbs.com keeps forgetting that I've logged in. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.1 on XP-SP2. I keep the thread list open in the first tab and read and reply to a thread in a second tab which I close when I'm done reading that thread. The next time I open a thread in a tab, my logged-status is forgotten, as shown by the bbs menu bar - ie., members-only links, like 'User CP', aren't shown, and if I try to reply to another thread, I'm asked to log in again.

Cookies are enabled for the originating website, to be erased when I quit Firefox. I can see some windowsbbs cookies in my cookie list, I do not close firefox during the session, and this issue does not happen on other forums. Any ideas?

Maybe closing the tab you mentioned is enough to trigger deleting cookies?

Haven't had any problems like that using FF 1.5.0.1, but what you describe is most likely a cookie problem.

Sure sounds like it, but I wasn't able to reproduce it in a later session, so maybe this operator had just misplaced his own cookies! :) I'll keep an eye on it.

It could be that you had entered the site & opened the thread list, and the database server was restarted. If it happens again. try refreshing the thread list.

Interesting - I'll try it. Thanks.
