Opening E Mail Attachments

    Am running Windows XP, using IE 6.0 with Earthlink's Total Access Mail program with high speed cable. Quite often when I open e mail with attachments (graphics), the pics do not open, only rectangle/s with a red X in the upper left corner. No problem with any text that goes with the picture/s. This only occurs with one or two individuals. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I would think that the problem lies with the sender. Ask them to check - in OE, assuming that is their mailer, that in Tools > Options > Send > HTML settings that 'Send pictures with messages' is checked.

    Thank you for the information and suggestion. I've forwarded it to two individuals who have sent e mail with the problem mentioned. Will keep you posted once they've had a chance to make the change.
