Keyboard not functioning

    Don't know if it's an XP issue or not. But it won't work on my other Dell. It'sa Dimension, this an OptiPlex, and it wrks fine as you can see on this one. It's a cordless keyboard, I chgd the batteries, and I'm on a KVM switch between the 2. I also disconnected the KVM and plugged another and this keyboard directly into it(separately) and still nothing...:confused:

    To find out if it is an XP problem, boot into the BIOS settings or to a boot floppy disk or CD. If the keyboard works there then the problem is with XP.
    Let us know.

    How do I press f8 or f2 whatever it is.....is that what you mean? if it does it there first, cuz I haven't tried it before the password box comes up.....I go try now, post back in sec.
