I have some undesirable urls that show up in my autocomplete for internet explorer. I have tried (internet tools_content_autocomplete_clear) and clearing histories, temporary internet files, etc. but they won't go away. I followed an old thread and tried finding them in the registry with no luck. Does anyone have a cure?

    Hi Bob_B,

    Look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

I think I got it fixed.

I checked HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs and found nothing. After some thought I logged in as another administrator and deleted the user account that had the bug. I also deleted the folder under documents and settings for that user. I was then able to recreate the user account and import the addressbook and favorites back in ( I had backed them up prior to deletion ). The uninvited autocomplete's are now gone. The must have been hidden somewhere in the user account data files but I could not find them. I would sure be nice to have a few moments alone with the person responsible for the uninvited garbage.
