Well I found another thing I don't like about TB 1.5 I had to change how I forward an email with picture in it ! I had to change it to, as an attachment instead of inline. When I Forward it inline it will not put the pictures in the email but if I send it as an attachment, it puts the pictures in the email and the pictures in the attachment don't show up! go figure

I just did a test, and when selected to send Inline, I saw the picture, and the attachment had only information about the outgoing AntiVirus scan. When I sent the same message as an attachment, I saw the same information both Inline and in the Attachment, since I had selected to see attachments inline. I think that it is pretty normal.

    sutsujsti,

This is another Thunderbird bug, Bug #315625:

When forwarding a message inline, Thunderbird strips inline-images

The good news is that it has been fixed, according to Scott McGregor:

    ------- Comment #17 From Scott MacGregor 2006-01-24 13:20 PST -------

fixed on 1.8 and the trunk.

I'll approve for 1.5.0.x when that branch opens for changes.

I wonder why I see things normally? I was sending from one address of mine to another.

    Westside,

I have no problem either with forwarding attachments inline or as an attachment, so it seems to be random, affecting some users, and others not at all.

Thx for the replies! It figures I have two of the bugs, I have been real lucky on all of the former releases and have not had any trouble (to speak of) while other people have had them. I wouldn't have noticed it striping the images from the email but I accidentally sent one of my emails to my other account (funny the recipients of it hadn't complained ). Westside I guess your computer is set up better than mine, or more tolerant! to this release
Ramona do you have any speculation on the next release ( or update )

    sutsujsti,

Sorry, but I don't know the date of the next release, I'm using 1.5 now. Your guess is about as good as mine... ;)

It is very hard to tell when or if anything will be fixed, or if it will fix everything, for everyone. For instance I have had problems with FF1.5.01rc1, while I had only minor problems with 1.5 ( and, only initially). That's why I am a rat pack, and, I don't remove anything until I am fully satisfied.
TB1.5 is not my default browser, but I can open it with Kmeleon, which allows me to open it an external application, of my choice.
Ramona, you said that you use TB1.5.01rc1. Where do you get, and what is it suppose to do?

P.S: I don't have problems with forwarding, because I, rarely, do that. I, usually, edit the it in a third party software, if possible, removing all the extra junk. Not good with HTML.
