Can someone explain the file dates - When you click on Properties there are 3 dates shown Created - Modified - Accessed
I often see a Created date that is newer than the Modified date - For example

    Created 6/26/2005
    Modified 5/6/2004

How can it be creaated AFTER it was "Modified" ????

Created 6/26/2005 -> Date you copied it to your pc.

Modified 5/6/2004 -> True Create Date.

Murof--Just adding on to what Steve R Jones has said, if you (or a program) change the content of the file, that would become the Modified date. The Create date deals with the file, itself.
