I've got a d-link wireless print server and a blitzz wireless router running DHCP for clients. I'm trying to set the print server/printers up with Windows XP TCP/IP LPR ports. Print server has a static IP address, but Blitzz router won't let me set up static IP address; If I include the print server's static IP address within defined DHCP address range of the router, router config software gives me an error and won't save the static IP. If I set the DHCP IP range in the router to exclude the print server's static IP, the print server is not found under that IP address, but will connect with a dynamic IP address. How can I set up a static IP address for the wireless print server in the my router's configuration so it always gets the same, fixed IP address that is defined in the LPR port?

You need to set up the static IP address in the print server configuration system, rather than the router's system.

Set up your router so that part of the IP subnet (range of IP addresses used on your network) is excluded from those its DHCP service gives out.

Then go into the configuration of the print server and manually assign it an IP address in the excluded range.
