I'm (still) using NS 4.79, and my husband has a copy on his computer, since his setup requires him to use it for email. When there are a number of items in the Inbox, some marked "unread" and some marked "read ", it's not possible to tell whether a given message has an attached file or not. The little paper-clip flag does not appear on the message icon until you select the message. Is there any way to change this, so that you can see which messages (read or unread) have attachments without selecting/highlighting each message in turn?

    Thanks in advance.

    Short answer: no.

    But there is a workaround.
In the fields, "Subject ", "senders ", "Date ",...
    You add "Size ".
If the e-mail is larger than 5kb or 10kb, it is usually coming with attachement.
