How do I install a missing dll

My new HP Pavilion came with installed Microsoft Word but most of it will not open because of missing LTKRN13N.DLL Understand a lot of other people are having the same problem. Have downloaded the Dll but am not sure how to use it. Have written to Microsoft 3 weeks ago and ofcourse they have never answered me. Can someone tell me how to install the dll to the program. I have Microsoft word ,it came with my computer but it is missing LTLRN13N.dll so most of the program will not open. I have foung the dll and downloaded it to disk but cant remember how or where to install it. I have found many people on the net with the same problem. Wrote to Microsoft but never got an answer. When to their page but got nothing. If you can help I would be appreciate it. Will pass it along to the rest of the unfortunates who have the same problem
