Slave Drive partitioning

    O/S XP Pro. Have installed new 200 gb hard drive as a slave. Both drives are in NTFS. Unable to do any partitioning or copying of a partition using Partition Magic 8.

    You may need to disable your antivirus software, firewall or GoBack if you are running that and probably be logged on as administrator.

    If PM 8 sees the new drive what error message is given when you try to partition it?

    The error msgs were 1611 & 9831.

    The problem is resolved. Partition Magic would do nothing on this drive. Solution was to download MaxBlast4 software from the manufacturer. many thanks to all.
