I am interested in occasionally purchasing and legally downloading single music selections and albums; but I want to retain WMP10 as my primary media player. It appears that Napster and iTunes might be good sites, but they want me to download their programs in order to purchase the music. I believe that those programs will require me to use their libraries and playlists and make it so I can no longer use WMP10 as my primary media player. I've used MSN, but they seem somewhat limited in their ability to find some of the older stuff I might want. Can anyone suggest good sites, legal sites, for getting a broad selection of music and not have to change my media player from WMP10 to something else? I am not against paying subscriber fees, I just don't want to buy another media player program.

    Walmart Music Downloads

Legal downloads and player specific to WMP. Downloads are provided in .wma format. WMP player is required to manage DRM files, which proves and manages file ownership. No subscription required to download songs from Walmart.

Their are a many good quality players available free, most can play many of the popular formats.

Walmart music download is the best I have found. Support is good and the price is right.

I think you are saying Walmart Music or the company Walmart are going broke (down the tubes)?? Would be very helpful if you could post a link to the article you read for additional information we could review.
