When I Send/Receive in Outlook 2003 I get an error message: "you don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation ". This is on an Administrator account. I'm sure it has to do with installing Trend Micro PC Cillin and Web Root Spy Sweeper because it happened soon after so I completely uninstalled them (not just closed them) but cant get my permission back. The Email setup test messages go through fine. I even tried System Restore.
    Thanks for any help!
    Jamie

Thanks for that link. It seems to be along the same lines as the solution I foundwhich was to rename the srs file so Outlook could not find it and it would create a new one. Worked perfectly. Of course I would have checked to see if was read only and fix it that way if I knew about it. But in case it doesn't work for someone else, try renaming it.
    Thanks,
    James
