Trying to tie up loose ends on my mother's computer this evening, and I thought I'd set her computer up to run automatic backups from time to time - which would involve setting a schedule for the backup program. When I tried to do that, I got a message saying:
Please click the 'Set password...' button on the next screen to enter your login password. If you do not enter your password the scheduled task will fail to run!
When I try to set a password, though, I get the following message:
An error has occurred while attempting to set task account information. The specific error is: 0x80070005: Access is denied. You do not have permission to perform the requested action.
The computer should only be configured for a single user, seeing as my mom's the only one who uses it (other than myself, when I'm visiting), and I therefore assumed she must have administrator rights. When I click on "Documents and Settings ", though, I see four folders:
    Administrator
    Administrator.EMIKO-NEW
    All Users
    emiko adams
The "emiko adams" folder appears to be what we're logged on under, as that's the only folder that contains any of her documents... If we're not allowed to perform the aforementioned required task, does this mean she's not currently an administrator? When I click on Control Panel > User Accounts, all that shows up is "emiko adams, Computer administrator" and "Guest, Guest account is off ".
I don't have a whole lot of time left to figure this out, but I'm confused by the existence of all these users when in reality there is only one... Can the first two Administrator accounts be gotten rid of? Why don't they show up under "User Accounts "?

it would appear that she's an admin but .. i'd rclik my comp/manage and verify that the admin group does in fact contain her account. u may also 'add' her to the 'backup opertators' group? ... not sure what back prog u'r using here.

nero's backitup can do backups from a service which negates any logon to do backup. just thought it throw that in. it must be version 7 tho.

the .emiko-new account is the format a DOMAIN account has. i'd kill it if u don't need it.

SpywareDr: seems like that might have done the trick - :)
Skeet: If I rclik my comp/manage, my choices seem to be limited to System Tools, Storage, and Services and Applications - where do I go to verify that the admin group contains my mother's account?
    Thanks to you both!
