I am trying to register Adobe CS2 and I when I click to register it says that it cant detect an internet connections. I have checked my internet is working fine. I have had similer problems with programs connecting to the internet (Google Earth, Gunbound, certian widgits ect.). Windows Firewall is disabled as well as my avast security. Is there any way I can fix this? I am on a broadband connection running windows XP. I need to register CS2 so I can get the serial number and install it on my laptop.

mangakiwi--I understand that you are having problems accessing some internet sites but not all.
This could be a function of having your security settings either too high or not permitting access using SSL. Or it could be that you need to permit ActiveX controls to run.
What happens when you put the site into your Trusted Sites?
