I was installing Microsoft SQL server 7.0 and couldn't get it to work right. So I uninstalled it. When it asked to remove shared files I accidentally did the cardinal sin of saying yes to all. So it asked me to restart.

I did and when it went to boot back up it hung before the welcome screen. So I rebooted and went to safe mode and did a system restore. It went back and everything seemed fine except if I restart it it'll hang at the same spot unless I hit F8 and choose start windows normally? Any idea how to fix this? Thanks for your help

not sure ... but it SOUNDED good ;)

meant = reboot the system, start tapping F8 key and choose 'safe mode' at the resulting menu. once logged on click start, then run and type in sfc /scannow

u'll need u'r installer CD for this or at least a copy of the proper \i386 folder structure
